I believe that people have the desire and capacity to heal and grow. Sometimes we need a little help or support during that process. Counseling is not a one size fits all modality. Because of that, I offer different types of counseling. I work with individuals, couples and groups.

Individual and couples counseling sessions are 50 minutes in length.  I charge $140 per counseling session.  I have a limited number of reduced fee slots available.  If you are experiencing financial difficulties, please contact me and we can discuss your specific situation.  I also offer 85 minute sessions for $235.  I accept cash, checks or credit cards at the time of service.

Individual counseling

In this go go go society, it can be hard to slow down and take time for yourself. Individual counseling gives you an opportunity to do just that. Our sessions are tailored to what you need most. Whether it’s support, encouragement or skill building.

Relationship and Couples Counseling

I believe that our quality of life is significantly impacted by our relationship with others. Relationships can be tough. We grow up hearing about the fairy tale and honeymoon stage, but people don’t talk about how hard relationships can be. We are combining two different styles of communication, two different histories and two different ways of doing things. Sometimes, that can create conflict. It can be helpful to have an outside perspective. That’s my role in couples counseling. I don’t take sides, but rather help you see each other’s side.

Couples Counseling can help you:

  • Reduce Conflict and learn about “fair fighting”
  • Improve communication
  • Increase intimacy between you and your partner
  • Reignite that “spark” between you and your partner
  • Determine if it is better to separate rather than stay together

Sex therapy

Going to counseling can seem scary because you might not know what to expect. More than that, talking to a stranger about sex might feel terrifying. I offer a warm, safe, nonjudgmental environment to talk about sex and sexuality.

Some of the areas of sex we might discuss include:

  • Desire discrepancies between you and your partner
  • Increasing passion and pleasure in your relationship
  • Ways to talk to your partner about sex and your sexual desires
  • Spicing up your sex life
  • Sexual Difficulties related to disability or illness
  • Addressing shame around you sexual fantasies or preferences
  • Difficulty with orgasm
  • Sex for the single person – realizing your potential for pleasure

Groups and workshops

It can be very powerful to be part of a group with a shared experience. In a group setting we can learn new skills, receive support from others who have experiences similar obstacles and feel like we are not alone. Please see my events page to see what groups I am currently offering.
I also offer workshops. Check out my events page to find out about my next workshop.
